Dear Neighbor,

Andrew C. LaraBefore the lawn signs, banners, and mailers start to flood your home, I would like to take time to introduce myself. My name is Andrew C. Lara and I am a Director on the Pico Water Board representing you. I grew up in Boyle Heights and had the privilege of graduating from the University of Southern California as a healthcare professional. I have made my home in Pico Rivera and I appreciate the parks, the schools, and the growing infrastructure. A diverse economy, progressive thinking and planning have made Pico Rivera an ideal destination. We want this progress to continue.

Pico Rivera is fortunate to sit next to the Rio Hondo River and Whittier Narrow Spreading grounds. I am honored to be a steward of these natural resources as a Director on the Pico Water Board. The Whittier Daily news recently noted that the Pico Water District has the lowest water rates in the area. I promise to provide consistent, efficient, and low cost services while maintaining and improving our infrastructure.

As a community we ask our youth to study hard in school and become productive members of society. During my current tenure as Director I took the lead in establishing a high school scholarship program. As a result two El Rancho High School seniors will benefit every year. I support our youth.

I am firmly in support of Board President Victor Caballero. President Caballero is a longtime resident of Pico Rivera and he works for the El Rancho Unified School District. I respect and admire his work, and I endorse his re-election efforts.

I humbly ask for your vote. Andrew C. Lara for Director on the Pico Water Board.
